Privacy by Design

Below are the core principles and features that ensure the network always remains safe and anonymous.

Anonymous User Identity

CapturGO assigns each contributor a non-personal account ID. Your movement, reports, or POI photos are never linked to your real identity. Users can change their display name anytime, and no one can see which person contributed to which location.

Anonymized and Encrypted Movement Data

Movement signals are:

  • Encrypted on your device

  • Stripped of personal identifiers

  • Processed using privacy safeguards

  • Stored without any connection to your name, email, or identity

Only the essential “movement shape” is used to improve traffic and map freshness.

CapturGO does not display any contributor’s trip history publicly.

Start and End Point Protection

To protect your home, workplace, and personal routines, CapturGO never uses the exact starting or ending points of your trips.

The first part and last part of every movement session are automatically discarded to prevent exposing sensitive locations.

This protection is always on and cannot be disabled.

Personal Privacy Zones

Every contributor can create personal privacy zones around places they do not want the app to record, such as:

  • Their home

  • Their workplace

  • Schools

  • Sensitive areas they choose

Whenever you enter near one of these zones, CapturGO automatically pauses data collection. These privacy zones stay on your device and are never uploaded to cCapturGO servers.

Network Privacy Zones

CapturGO also protects sensitive public locations by stopping collection in areas such as:

  • Government facilities

  • Restricted zones

  • National security locations

  • Private industrial sites

These zones apply to everyone automatically.

Opt-In Contribution

CapturGO never collects movement without your permission.

To take part in the network, you must explicitly enable location service. You can pause or stop sharing anytime with a single tap.

You Always Know When You're Contributing

The CapturGO app makes it clear when:

  • Movement signals are being collected

  • POI tasks are active

  • Your location is being used for contributions

There is no hidden tracking, no silent background behavior, and no collection you have not agreed to.

Handling Photos and POI Verification

When you submit a photo to verify a place:

  • Images are processed to extract only what is needed (signs, storefronts, business details)

  • Advanced tools remove faces, identifying features, and private details whenever possible

  • Photos are not tied to your identity

  • Photos are never used for personal profiling

If something private is accidentally captured, you can request removal at any time.

Requesting Removal or Redaction

If you want a POI photo or report removed or believe something was collected that should not have been:

  • Submit a removal request through our privacy support form

  • Provide the time, general area, and type of data involved

  • We will promptly review and delete or redact the material

Your privacy comes first.

Blockchain and Wallet Privacy

CapturGO rewards contributors with tokens. To receive rewards, you connect a crypto wallet. Wallets do not store personal information and are not tied to your identity.

CapturGO has no access to your private keys or recovery phrases.

Transparency and Compliance

CapturGO is committed to being fully transparent about:

  • What data is collected

  • How it is processed

  • What parts are anonymized and discarded

  • What is shared with the network

  • How contributors are rewarded

We also work with regulators to ensure compliance with data protection laws in all regions where the network operates.

Our Promise

CapturGO will never compromise your privacy. Your identity stays protected. Your movement remains anonymous. You remain in complete control.

CapturGO exists to build a fairer mobility network where people benefit from the data they generate. And that begins with respect, transparency, and uncompromising privacy.
